TL;DR: Stroop Rush is offline-first. We collect no data. No account, no login, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Everything stays in AsyncStorage on your device. Deleting the app deletes everything.

Stroop Rush (“we”, “us”) is a free iOS game by Praveen Dubey. This policy explains what (little) data the app handles. By using the app you agree to this policy.

1. Data Not Collected

We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:

No name, email, phone, or account. The app has no sign-up.
No location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone access.
No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs, no cross-app tracking (no IDFA).
No server. There is no backend, no Supabase, no PostHog, no Stripe.

App Store Connect → App Privacy → Data Not Collected is accurate for this app.

2. On-Device Storage

All game progress is stored locally with react-native-async-storage under key stroop.stats.v1:

High scores per mode (bests), total games, correct/rounds, average ms, per-color stats
Daily grids (daily[YYYY-MM-DD] = {grid, score})
Duel wins/losses, achievements, rules-seen flags, onboarding flag

This never leaves your device. iCloud backup may back up the app’s sandbox if you have iCloud Backup enabled — that is handled by Apple, not us.

3. Third Parties & System Services

Apple App Store / StoreKit / Expo – App delivery and native review prompt (expo-store-review) are handled by Apple on-device. We do not receive personal data from them.
Haptics / System UI – expo-haptics vibration and expo-blur are local only.

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, ads, or login providers.

4. Children’s Privacy

Stroop Rush is suitable for ages 9+ and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

5. Your Choices

Reset – In-app Profile → Clear Stats wipes local data.
Delete – Deleting the app erases all local data and generated grids.
Permissions – The app requests no sensitive permissions (no photos, location, etc.).

6. Data Retention

Local data persists until you clear it or delete the app. We retain nothing server-side because we have no server.

7. Security

Since data never leaves the device, risk is minimal. Standard iOS sandboxing protects local storage.

8. Changes

If the app ever adds networking, accounts, or analytics, this policy will be updated and the “Last updated” date bumped. Continued use after changes = acceptance.
